Spec Script Sale: “We Interrupt This Program”

Echo Lake Productions acquires drama spec script “We Interrupt This Program” written by Sean Sorensen. From Deadline:

The script explores the chaos of creative genius that resulted in the infamous radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, narrated and directed by Orson Welles before he made his directing debut on Citizen Kane.

Sorenson will also produce through his Royal Viking Entertainment shingle. He is repped by ROAR.

By my count, this is the 48th spec script deal in 2017.

There were 49 spec script deals year-to-date in 2016.
