Super Bowl Movie Trailers: 2011!

Today is the Super Bowl which can mean only one thing:

A bunch of movie trailers make their debut!

Per Cinematical:

The Big Game is upon us, and with it will come what is perhaps the most anticipated slate of movie trailers we’ve seen in years. The 2011 Super Bowl featuring the Green Bay Packers taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers will play host to a number of brand new movie previews for some of the year’s biggest films, like ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon,’ ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,’ ‘Cowboys and Aliens,’ ‘Super 8,’ ‘Thor,’ ‘Rango,’ ‘Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom’ and much more.

Which ones are you pumped to see? And after the game, report back here with your thoughts on them.

UPDATE: A list of trailers and when they’ll air via BoxOfficeMojo:

SECOND QUARTER

FOURTH QUARTER

They jumped the gun on Cowboys & Aliens and it’s on the Web. Honestly, I just don’t get this movie. And the ad — this is just my humble opinion — is not good. As MCN says:

The movie will work or not work based on how the characters interact with the idea… and all they keep giving us is explosions vs six shooters. No one over 8 (physically or emotionally) cares about that as the primary driver to see a film.

What if that is the substance of the movie?

UPDATE #2: Super 8 looks interesting. E.T. + Close Encounters + The Goonies + Old Style Spielberg = Entertaining. Great feature with J.J. Abrams from the always excellent Hero Complex (LAT).
