Update: Ryan Condal

Ryan Condal was on the Black List 2008.

Last year, his script “Galahad” sold as a spec for mid-six figure.

And we featured an interview with him back in April.

Now this news:

Ryan Condal is standing for “Queen & Country.”

The Black List scribe has been hired to write a draft of “Country,” the action franchise that’s set up at Fox.

The project, based on Greg Rucka’s Oni Press comic, centers on a female Special Ops agent who is on the run after carrying out a high-level assassination in Eastern Europe. Those familiar with the project have described it as a female version of “The Bourne Identity.”

Congrats, Ryan.

By the way, he gave probably the best, most succinct explanation of the sequence approach to screenwriting I’ve ever read. Worth a quick read.
