Ellison has a lengthy history as a TV writer including episodes for “Route 66” (1963), “Burke’s Law” (1963–1964), “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” (1964), “The Outer Limits” (1964), “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour” (1964), “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” (1966–1967), “Star Trek” (1967), “The Flying Nun” (1968), “The Starlost” (1973–1974), and “The Twilight Zone” (1985–1989), as well as a creative consultant on all the Babylon 5 series.
