The late Robert Altman is known primarily as a director. But did you know he has over 40 writing credits, many of them movies including McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), A Wedding (1978), Short Cuts (1993), and Prêt-à-Porter (1994)?
This 4-minute video is from the Hamptons Film Festival. In it, Altman is asked what advice he would give to a filmmaker just starting out. He responds, “Don’t listen to anyone’s advice.”
