What are your Oscar picks?
Here are my predictions:
Best Original Screenplay: David Seidler, The King’s Speech
Best Adapted Screenplay: Aaron Sorkin, The Social Network
Best Picture: The King’s Speech
Best Director: David Fincher, The Social Network
Best Actor: Colin Firth, The King’s Speech
Best Actress: Natalie Portman, Black Swan
Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale, The Fighter
Best Supporting Actress: Hailee Steinfeld, True Grit
Animated Feature: Toy Story 3
Foreign Language Film: Biutiful
Documentary: Inside Job
I just have a feeling people who vote for The King’s Speech for Best Picture will want to give a little love to The Social Network and acknowledge the job Fincher did — taking a bunch of talking heads, admittedly with great dialogue, and making an ‘action’ movie out of it.
My head says Melissa Leo for The Fighter and I’ve been a fan of hers since “Homicide: Life on the Streets,” but Steinfeld’s story (first-time actor) and performance in True Grit makes me feel like she might win for Best Supporting Actress.

And the Razzies announced their winners with The Last Airbender leading the pack with five nods including Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.
