What is your writer’s wish for 2011?

What is your writer’s wish for 2011?

Consider this post a virtual fountain. And I’ve sent you all a virtual penny. But not just any penny. It’s a magical one. Crafted especially for writers. It allows you to have one wish for the upcoming year, but the wish must be related to your writing.

What would that wish be?

What is your writer’s wish for 2011?

My wish? That your wishes come true!

UPDATE: There are a lot of wonderful wishes in comments. All that for just one magic penny! Here’s one comment from Robert I think speaks for a part of every writer:

For someone who would know to tell me that my writing is good. I know, I know, it reeks of neediness. But it would mean everything to hear.

That led to a TV writer from Nova Scotia Mary Pedersen writing at her blog “Ruts and Grooves” this post called “Am I Good?” in which she kindly — and thoughtfully — responds to Robert. Here is a key line:

You will get it there faster when you master the skill of fretting less about how good you are and writing more.

Nothing more I can add to that.

Thanks, Mary, for your wisdom. And thanks Robert for your courage to express what many writers feel. And to all those who conveyed their wishes, may they all come true in 2011!
