Writing Question: Do you have any writing superstitions?
I was talking to a writer the other day. They were finishing up a script and had to make it end on an even-numbered page (in this case, 108 instead of 109). When I asked why, she said, “Because odd numbered scripts are bad luck.”
I can relate. The draft of K-9 that sold was 112 pages. For years, I insisted scripts end at P. 112.
And here’s the thing: Superstitions may just work. How else to explain all the weird stuff that goes on in the world of movies?!?!
So do you have any writing superstitions? If so, what are they? How did you happen to fall into believing and using them?
