Michael and Peter stare at the baby which has been left at their doorstep.

Michael: Pick it up.
Peter: I’m not picking it up.
Michael: You found it!

The baby cries.

Michael: We’re gonna have to do something, one of us is gonna have to pick it up.
Peter: Well, it’s not gonna be me!

Dialogue On Dialogue: What’s better than one fish-out-of-water than three. In this case, the three bachelors’ ordinary worlds are turned upside by the sudden arrival of a baby. “Pick it up.” The 3rd person is where the guys start out and over time develop a bond with the baby. Classic 1980s movie.
