Ron Burgundy: Do you know who I am?

Veronica Corningstone: No. I can’t say that I do.

Ron Burgundy: I don’t know how to put this but I’m kind of a big deal.

Veronica Corningstone: Really.

Ron Burgundy: People know me.

Veronica Corningstone: Well, I’m very happy for you.

Ron Burgundy: I’m very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Trivia: Adam McKay has said that in the first draft of the script, the story was about a planeload of news anchors who crash in the mountains and discover that the plane which they collided was carrying monkeys and martial arts equipment, leading to a battle between cannibalistic newsmen and star-throwing monkeys.

Dialogue On Dialogue: It’s a funny exchange, but like most comic moments, it needs a great exit line. “My apartment smells of rich mahogany” qualifies.
