The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Oblivious.

Trivia: Several writers tried to adapt the book, but couldn’t nail it. Eric Roth was brought on. After reading the novel and the various script adaptations, Roth zeroed in on what the problem was: No love story. In his script, Roth made the Forrest-Jenny relationship a thread which interweaves throughout the plot and provides an emotional throughline for the narrative.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Here Forrest is oblivious to the fact that Jenny is a mother and — for a few moments — that he is, indeed, the father of her son.
