EMILY: What in the hell do you want? You set people up to disappoint you… and they always do, don’t they?
WHEELER: I never set anybody up. That’s just the way it is. If you have anything to say to me, say it! You’re the lawyer, honey. We’re not talking circumstantial evidence. We’re talking getting caught with a smoking gun in your hand. Bang, you’re guilty. You’re guilty of being just like all the rest of them.

Trivia: Mickey Rourke and Carré Otis were a couple at the time this film was made, and there is a persistent rumor that the sex scenes were not faked.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Okay, I’m flying blind here because somehow I missed this cinematic treasure. So if anyone has anything to add re the dialogue, please feel free to weigh in. My one takeaway: If a character is going to accuse another character of something, they might as well scream it. Good for drama, good for conflict.
