Trivia: In his autobiography, Donald Ogden Stewart wrote that the original play was so perfect, adapting it was the easiest job he ever had to do in Hollywood.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Interesting to consider how often movies from the 30s and 40s had fun with the idea of drunkenness as a story element as here in the classic comedy The Philadelphia Story. Likely wouldn’t play as well nowadays.
