Suzanne: You wanna fix me a drink?
Michael: Whiskey okay?
Suzanne: Sounds nice.

She removes his jacket.

Suzanne: Don’t you like me?
Michael: Yeah, I like you.
Suzanne (unbuttoning his shirt): Then what’s the matter? 
Michael: I’m just tryin’ to make a point of stayin’ away from married women.
Suzanne: Why? Marriage is just a state of mind.
Michael: Not in Texas.
Suzanne: We’re not in Texas.

Trivia: John Dahl named Dennis Hopper’s character “Lyle from Dallas” after the director’s first guitar, a Lyle guitar.

Dialogue On Dialogue: At a basic level, the femme fatale represents temptation. And almost always, the one who falls prey to temptation suffers in the end. In the scene here, Michael knows this. But temptation wins out.
