In both series, a lessor antagonist (Professor Snape and Saruman) must be defeated before the hero can progress to face the ultimate evil (Lord Voldemort and Sauron). Here, Harry makes his final turn from running, hiding, dodging and seeking to confronting as he steps from the shadows (literally and figuratively) to begin his final struggles.”
