GITS Meet-Ups: The World?

The response to a possible GITS Meet-UP: LA has been strong enough I think it is going to happen. Interestingly non-Angelinos posted in Comments, Tweeted and emailed as well expressing an interest in possible meet-ups in other locales.

So if you are a writer, screenwriter, TV writer, aspiring writer, professional writer, or just want to meet interesting, creative people and have a good time, and you live near a major urban area, please go to Comments and let us know. I know there are quite a few GITS readers in the Bay Area, Seattle, New York, New Jersey, Toronto, Vancouver, London. I’m sure there are plenty living in other areas. Go to Comments and let’s see what possibilities bubble up.

And for those of who live in more rural or remote areas, or simply don’t have the time to do a meet-up, I will be announcing the first GITS Live Blogging event. Basically I’ll be selecting and promoting a time where I will ‘show up’ on the blog, create an open forum post, then for an hour or so, we can ‘chat’ via Comments. More on that next week.

But for now, let’s focus on other potential GITS meet-ups around the world. See you in comments! If they happen, great. If not, at least we tried.

UPDATE: Good to see some more shout-outs from around the world. Question: Does anyone know of a live-chat web service where we could access a chat room for an hour every so often and do a virtual global meet-up that way?
