Spec Script Sale: “A Man Called Death”

Addicted Pictures acquires thriller spec script “A Man Called Death” written by Matthew Kennedy. From TheWrap:

The script features a “Misery”-esque setup that evolves into a “Usual Suspects”-type non-linear storyline.

This is a preemptive option deal with progress-to-production elements.

Kennedy is repped by WME and Energy Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 36th spec script sale in 2013.

There were 63 spec script sales year-to-date in 2014.
