Spec Script Sale: “Gone”

Universal acquires action drama spec script “Gone” from writer Bryan Edward Hill. From Variety:

Plot details are being kept under wraps but a source close to the production has described it as a “don’t mess with this guy” type of movie.

“Don’t mess with this guy” type of movie. I’m planning on adding some posts to Movie Story Type series I’ve run off and on. Maybe I’ll have to check out this as a new one.

Hill is repped by ICM and Element Entertainment.

By my count, “Gone” is the 74th spec script to sell this year.

Only 55 spec scripts sold in 2010.

Spec script sales are up 72% year-to-date over last year.
