Spec Script Sale: “Sad Jack”
Spec Script Deal: “Sad Jack”
Code Entertainment acquires action spec script “Sad Jack” by writer Chris Borrelli. Per Variety:
“Sad Jack” tells the story of a hired assassin who is challenged by his paranoid schizophrenia to distinguish real threats from those conceived in his imagination.
Sounds more like an action-thriller. And why not? That may be the single most popular cross genre project in the spec market this year.
Borrelli is repped by WME and H2F.
By my count, there have been 103 spec script sales in 2011.
Only 55 spec scripts sold in 2010.
Only 68 spec scripts sold in 2009.
Spec script sales are up 94% year-to-date over last year.
