Spec Script Sale: “The Chung Factor”

Lionsgate acquires comedy spec script “The Chung Factor” from writer Andy Selsor. From The Wrap:

The movie is about a nice guy who meets the girl of his dreams after being unlucky in love. But because he’s afraid of screwing up the relationship, he takes advice from an offbeat relationship coach.

We can assume hijinks and mayhem ensue.

Script was originally called “The Ex-Factor” and was on the very first Black List in 2005.

Sale date: October 25, 2011.

By my count this is the 86th spec script to sell in 2011.

In 2010, only 55 spec scripts sold.

In 2009, only 68 spec scripts sold.

Three more spec script sales to report today.
